Homeschooling; is it worth or not?

By Setia Ningsih Many parents choose homeschooling rather than public school for their children’s education. Parents may have their own reasons in choosing homeschooling as their children education. They may think that they can have a personalized schedule of homeschooling. Both parents and children can arrange their own learning time. Parents can also have their own curriculum based on children needs. The question is: can homeschooling give bad effect on children social life?Is it really worth for children’s future? Children and Literacy

By  Dwi Nur Asiyah Age 1-5 years is the golden age of children. When children are at this age, parents should maximize their child's development by giving positive inputs and applying learning methods that are right for them. This is very important, because when parents wrongly provide treatment when they are in the golden age, it will be difficult to change when the child is growing up. One of the things that can be instilled in children during this golden age is the habit of reading. In this digital age, many children, even from a very early age, have become addicted to gadgets. Usually parents introduce gadgets to children on the grounds the child will be calm and not fussy when they play games / watch videos on the gadget. But unfortunately, this can have a negative impact on children both physically and mentally. It would be very unfortunate also when in the golden age but children spend too much time playing with gadgets. Therefore, it would be better if parents introduce

Indonesian teacher welfare

By  Dwi Nur Asiyah In the past, when we were little, maybe the teacher became one of the professions we wanted to live. But as we grow older, many of us begin to have other goals, such as becoming doctors, architects, entrepreneurs and so on. There are those who have found a passion that suits them, but there are also those who see the reality of the teacher whose life is far from prosperous so they throw away the desire to become a teacher. We have read and heard a lot of sad stories of honorary teachers in Indonesia. Starting from a small salary, the struggle to teach in remote places, working part time to get extra money and so forth. It is really sad to know the reality of what happened. One of the stories that is quite touching is the story of an honorary teacher named Panji Setiaji. The video that shows him being awarded a shoe and motorcycle from a volunteer community, viral on social media. Panji is always seen wearing torn shoes when teaching at the school where he works.
